Jackson Hole Golf

If You Love the Mountains, Jackson Hole Is Paradise
If You Live For Golf, It’s Heaven

When you live and play golf in Jackson Hole communities, you understand that the golf course is about more than just playing through the 18 holes. It’s where business deals are closed, where friends and family gather to relax and unwind, and it’s where you can retreat from the daily grind. Let the higher altitude work to your advantage and lower your score. Your drives soar farther in the thinner air, much to the amazement of your out of town guests who won’t believe how much your game has improved. Along with some of the most beautiful landscape, Jackson Hole golf courses provide amenities for everyone’s tastes- upscale dining, clubhouses, tennis courts, swimming, and fitness centers to name a few.

Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club

If a golf course could be considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, then Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club would be it. The Club is adjacent to Grand Teton National Park near Gros Ventre junction and just 15 minutes north of the town of Jackson. Since it opened in 1963, Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club has become a staple in the Jackson Hole community and a destination for golfers from around the world.

In 1973, Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the renowned golf course architect, took on the task of redesigning the 18-hole course and used the terrain’s qualities to create a unique and challenging course. But the Club doesn’t rest on its past accomplishments and its consistent ranking among the top ten courses in the country and the best course in Wyoming by Golf Digest. It recently underwent a $3.6 million dollar improvement plan to ensure the course retains its legendary status.

What gives Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club its famous standing?

The top rated par-72 championship course is challenging for golfers with a 72.5 rating and a slope of 126 from the tees. Course highlights include water hazards on 11 of the 18 holes compliments of well placed ponds, a hole with a dog-leg to the left to a shot over the Gros Ventre River, and a family of golden eagles living near the 9th hole that gives new meaning to the term “birdie” and “eagle”. The remainder of the course certainly doesn’t suffer from views the natural beauty of the environment provides- you can see the Tetons from every hole. No wonder that is has hosted numerous USGA National Championships.

Club amenities include equipment rentals, lessons, a pro shop, swimming, the Strutting Grouse restaurant, and 6 plexiclusion tennis courts should you need a break from playing golf- yeah right!

Advanced reservations are recommended. No metal spikes are permitted. Men wear collared shirts and jeans are allowed as long as they are appropriate. Women wear proper golf attire.
